I am currently sitting on our boat in Monterey, CA. I have been doing a lot of processing and realized I needed some ocean energy. Powerful creative energy for me to do the work that is coming in for me and calling me forward.
Lots of opportunities are coming up for us right now. These opportunities are of old patterns coming up for a last look, to gain a broader perspective and healing. To set clear and clean boundaries to more fully stand in our power, to heal very old emotional wounds, to stand up and protect our own inner child, to begin to free ourselves and liberate ourselves.
This next chapter will be asking all of us to own all of who we are. To own our worth, power, and gifts. To honor who we are and what we are being called forth to do right now. To claim a higher perspective and take a stand for what is really important to us.
I’m not going to say any of this is easy right now. Especially in the midst of the chaos of old structures that are no longer serving us and are collapsing, so the new can come forward and rise.
This is definitely not for the faint of heart. I’ve been in it with all of you, and it’s taken a lot of curiosity and courage to move through it all, to transform and heal what is asking to be, and to take action on what is next. It’s a lot right now.
My guess is that if you are reading this, you can absolutely relate. It’s messy, and that’s ok.
Amongst all of that, I have also been spending a lot of time thinking about what I want to take a stand for and why as I bring forth Soul Guided Leadership™. One stand I will always take is to be in partnership with Spirit. This is the foundation for me and what makes this work.
And, it felt like there was another part of this stand. The why.
It didn’t feel complete. There was a fire and passion missing. The golden thread that runs through it all. I was having a hard time writing my origin story that brought me to Soul Guided Leadership. So, I have stayed curious and paid attention to the signs.
In the processing of it all, I had a particularly tender day, and I had mentioned how I felt a lot of tribal energy around what I was creating. One of the women in a group I am in sent me a link to a video. I didn’t have time to watch it right away, as I was getting ready to leave and drive from Carbondale to Monterey. I love a long car trip to just think and noodle on all that is going on. I decided to pull up and watch the video that was sent to me.
I was so blown away. I could feel it in every part of my being that this is exactly what I needed to fully step into my stand in bringing my new work into the world. In the video, Mac Macartney talked about “The Children’s Fire”. Something just blew open for me. I could feel it.
All my life, the one thread running through everything I have done has been children. While I was in Mary Kay, what drove me and was my guiding light was supporting women in building careers that would give them more choices for themselves and change the future for their children. Changing the future for children and helping them really understand that they were not alone and that they are powerful and worthy was why I wrote and published my three children’s books. And now that thread continues to weave its golden thread through my current work. Changing the way we lead in partnership with Spirit to enable a better future for our children.
This was huge for me. I’ve always taught it’s important to find your “why” in whatever you take on in your life. It’s the thing that will push you to keep going when it gets tough. It’s the fire of your passion put towards something that will touch more people than you might ever know.
