Seeing Clearly in 2020

Mindset, Success

Welcome to New Year 2020. The energy of this year is expansive and open to creating. The energy is much gentler than 2019. Are you ready to see clearly in 2020?

I don’t know about you but most of the people I have talked to, myself included agree that 2019 was a challenging year. 2019 may have been your year to define priorities, what is and is not serving you and yes, what about you? You may have gotten lost in the challenges of 2019. This was true for me.

So now we have a fresh new year.  A year that is ready for you to begin creating. Have you started yet? Whether you have or have not started,

2020 is the beginning of a new decade (although for some, that’s up for debate). Let’s make sure you are set up for an amazing decade to come.

“There are only two days in the year that nothing can be done. One is called yesterday and the other is called tomorrow. Today is the right day to Love. Believe. Do. and mostly Live.”

~ Dalai Lama XIV

Let’s start with you. Yes, I like to start here. Remember you are the priority. Let’s make sure you are filled up, energized, and joyful so you can accomplish everything you want to this year.

I also understand that most like to start with planning for our businesses. Once that plan is in place, we then plan for our personal things.  I think this is completely backwards and has never really made much sense to me.

Let’s try it a little differently this year. Are you game? Are you ready to create the 2020 vision that will lay the foundation for an awesome decade?

I’m going to assume, that since you’re still reading this you’re ready to do this a new way!

First, I want you to start with how do you want to feel in 2020? Yes, I know this may seem weird, but there is a method to my madness. 🙂 It’s important to start here.  Try not to let yourself go to what you want to do. Stay in the feeling. It’s common to avoid the feeling and shift into the doing of something.

To give you an example, when I did this exercise, I wanted to feel courageous, powerful, financially free and secure, self-assured, confident, loved, fully seen and heard etc.

Continue to do this with how you want to feel with your family and your business.

Now, write down a couple of things you want to feel. Just get started. You can continue to go back to this. The thing about this way of planning is that it is alive and can be added to and deleted from along the way at any time.

Second, I want you to think about what do you want to experience in 2020. What do you want to experience personally, with your family, and with your business? I like to do this second because I then check in with and ask myself “does this experience support how I want to feel this year?”  Don’t limit yourself here. Let yourself dream. Remember, even if it doesn’t happen this year we are setting up a new decade. Yea!

Third, once you have thought about and started looking at how you want to feel, accomplish, and experience this year, now we are ready to look at what do you want to accomplish.

I do this last because you want to create a business that fits into a lifestyle that is going to support you. I’ve seen so many people create businesses that they end up hating because it doesn’t support the lifestyle they want, and they feel trapped.

As you begin thinking about and defining what you want to accomplish, check in as you go along. Do the things you want to accomplish personally, with your family, and professionally support how you want to feel and experience.

Check in, and if you find what you want to accomplish does support how you want to feel, but does not support what you want to experience, then you will want to take another look at it.

If you want to accomplish building a multi-million dollar business and also want to experience taking 3 months off a year with your family, then the two might be in conflict. Take another look and be really honest with yourself. Ask yourself what your priority is and whether there is another way to look at it. If not, then you might want to make an adjustment here.

I love looking at and planning the year this way; it’s flexible and supports a life in Rhythm. It’s alive, and as you grow, shift, and change, it also grows, shifts, and changes. It also supports you being the priority so you can clearly create a decade of doing what you love, impacting the world, no regrets!

You totally have this!!
