Wealth – The Inner Game of Money and Relationships

Mindset, Money

As we are wrapping up 2017 and planning for 2018, the thought of wealth has been coming up a lot for me, my clients, and the people I have been talking to.

Whether 2017 has been an amazing year and you’re hitting your goals out of the park or not… we have a brand-new start in 2018.

As 2017 finishes, and you are in the planning stages or have already got a plan down for 2018, you may be thinking about increasing your income this New Year, launching some new ideas, and expanding your business. Not to mention all the personal intentions.

I’ve heard the word “wealth” come up, particularly the concept of creating it.

This New Year can be an excellent opportunity for you to do just that.

Wealth is an interesting word. There can be many different meanings associated with it. In my opinion, money is the most common. When people talk about creating wealth they are usually talking about generating more money.  Becoming financially independent.

“Wealth is the ability to fully experience life.”

~ Henry David Thoreau

In my definition, money is a big factor in wealth. Money gives us choices we might not otherwise have. I also feel like wealth encompasses being wealthy in your relationships and connection with others.

Creating wealth in money and relationships starts from the inside.

You may want some plan of action, strategy, or skill in how to create wealth.

But, the truth is if your mindset and subconscious patterns aren’t addressed first there is no amount of skill, action, or strategy that will create long-term success if the inner work isn’t done first.

Wealth comes from doing the inner work first. Getting your mindset, subconscious patterns, neuropaths, and beliefs working together. Whatever you are trying to manifest in the material world always starts with a becoming.

If wealth is something you want to accomplish in the New Year, then here are a few things you will want to think about:

  1. What do you want in the New Year? This may be a harder question than you think. If you have a hard time really determining what you want, take a sheet a paper and draw a line down the middle. In the first column right down all the things you don’t want. Then, in the second column right down what you would want instead. Example:  If you don’t want to be in debt then how much income do you want to create? “I want to earn ____________ every month”, etc.
  2. Who do you need to become to create the wealth you want in the New Year? This is about how you “Be” in the world. What are the characteristics needed? Example: If you tend to lack confidence, then you will want to become confident.
  3. What do you believe about what you want to accomplish, and who you will become? Spend a little time writing in a journal about this.
  4. Does what you want to accomplish fit into the lifestyle you want to have? If not, what would need to change to make it work?
  5. What natural strengths (gifts) do you have that will help you succeedHint: These are things that come so naturally to you that you may not recognize them as strengths (natural gifts).
  6. Who will you need to support you as you grow? These people will have strengths where you have weaknesses.
  7. What do you do to take yourself out of the game? Sabotage yourself? Keep awareness around what you do, and see if you can catch yourself in action. This is a big part of it. Just being able to catch yourself.
  8. Make a new choice for yourself. When you catch yourself in an activity that is sabotaging then this is the perfect time to stop, breath, and make a new choice.

Be Powerful and Courageous as you step into the New Year! It’s going to be a big one for you!
