Let’s name something most women never say out loud:
We’ve been leading from survival.
For years even decades we’ve built, nurtured, led, and held everything together…
while quietly unraveling on the inside.
We weren’t taught to lead like this.
We were conditioned to survive like this.
We learned early on to:
- Prioritize everyone else’s needs
- Ignore the whisper of our own truth
- Lead behind a mask of expectation, knowing this was never really you
- Smile while overgiving
- Shrink so others could stay comfortable
And when we did try to lead?
We were told:
“Be less emotional.”
“Think like a man.”
“Don’t be too much.”
“Compete to win.”
“Prove your worth.”
That’s not leadership.
That’s assimilation.
And your soul is done with it.
We were never meant to lead like this.
There’s a reason the structures around you feel too tight now.
Why urgency makes your nervous system rebel.
Why you’re tired of doing it all “right” and still feeling off.
You don’t need to burn it all down.
But you do need to reclaim what leadership looks like for you.
You don’t have to prove your worth to lead from your truth.
It doesn’t have to be loud to be powerful.
You don’t have to be perfect to make an impact.
In fact, it’s your humanity that makes you magnetic.
There is a new way, one that starts with your own rhythm, truth, and wild knowing.
I’ll be sharing more soon.
But for now…
Take a breath.
Unhook.
And ask yourself:
What am I done carrying that was never mine to hold?
