Life is shifting, and so am I.

Happy Summer!

I hope yours is off to a beautiful start.

Ours has begun fast and full. Leading up to this summer, our youngest, Taylor, was wrapping up her senior year of high school. And wow—it’s been a lot. Between college visits, major decisions, and her massive senior project (a graduation requirement!), these last six months have felt like a whirlwind.

I’ve watched her move through it all—gracefully, and with plenty of stress too.

She graduated on Saturday, June 7th, surrounded by family and friends. What a milestone.

Back in May, she made the big decision to attend the University of Washington in Seattle this fall. Decision: made!

Family has always been my top priority, and this year has brought some real bittersweetness. I can feel the shift into this next chapter—empty nesting is coming.

Tanner is heading back to Montana State University in August. He just completed his first full year after transferring from CU Boulder, and it’s been the best decision. He’s found his place—his people, his passions, and everything he loves in Bozeman: the mountains, fishing, skiing, kayaking… he’s thriving.

Taylor, on the other hand, is getting ready to step into something big and unfamiliar. Her graduating class had just 39 students. She’s never been in a school with more than 400 people. So the leap to a university with 44,000 undergrads is huge. She’s excited—and understandably a little nervous.

Watching both of them grow into themselves has been amazing. They’re two of my favorite people to be around, and I’m so proud of who they’re becoming.

And while I’m excited for them, I also feel a renewed excitement for myself, for what’s next in my business and the work I’m meant to bring forward this year. It’s a big transition for Mark and me, too.

I’ve felt the full wave of emotions: joy, sadness, anticipation, grief. It’s all part of this season. I’ve also felt the tension between wanting to focus on my business and feeling pulled toward family, especially during these big moments.

Last week’s Insight from the Other Side was the exact reminder I needed:
Pause. Trust. Be where you are.
Divine timing is always at play.

Right now, I’m being invited to pause—to be with my family this summer. And I’m choosing to say yes to that.

We’re dusting off the Airstream for a family road trip—our first in a few years. We’ve been taking these trips since Taylor was 18 months old and Tanner was 4 1/2 years old. The dogs come too, of course. These are some of our favorite memories, and this summer felt like the perfect time to create a few more before everything shifts again.

I plan to soak up every moment while we’re all together. I can feel the momentum of what’s coming in the fall. But right now, I’m choosing presence. I’m trusting this pause.

  • Is it time for you to pause, too?
  • Or is it your time to move forward, create, and take bold action?

Ask yourself: What do I really want right now?
When I asked myself that question, the answer was clear: to play, be present, and enjoy this last summer together before they both go.

This space has lined up perfectly for me. And I know divine timing is working for you, too.

I’ll be out of touch from June 16–July 7 while we’re on the road, playing and soaking in the magic.

I look forward to reconnecting after that.
